Thirty years as a family therapist, sex therapist, teacher, speaker, researcher, poet, editor, and author prepared me to conduct the ISIS survey. Since the 1970s, I've listened to thousands of women voice their feelings about their sexual relationships-their concerns and fears, ecstasies, wishes, and dreams of what might be. I've led sexuality workshops for women across the U.S. , keynoted scientific conferences, and trained physicians, nurses, social workers, family therapists, and other health providers to include sexual issues in their intake assessments and treatment plans.
